Medical Assistant - Physician's Office
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm full-time with benefits
- Late night: 2 nights a week minimum (each person has 2 late nights to cover)
- Triaging patients - Patient assessments on new and established patients; Obtain MR from other facilities as needed for follow up appts
- Prescriptions: refills to pharmacies via phone & EMR.
- Office Procedures: Injections, EKG’s, lab draw, glucose sensors, etc.
- Reviewing patient charts with physicians and take verbal orders for treatment options; notifying patients and/or family of orders & instructions.
- Assisting the physicians in the patient rooms when needed
- Assisting patients with medical forms: prior authorization, medicine assistance forms, short/long term disability forms, FMLA forms, patient education, etc.
- Keep the patient rooms and nursing areas clean and straight and stocked with supplies and patient education materials.
- Keep all filing (PA's, forms, records, charts, etc.) up-to-date in a timely manner.
- Be willing to learn new things
- Work as a team
Benefits included after a mandatory probation period of three months are:
