High volume podiatric practice has opening for full-time, experienced Medical Assistant.
The ideal candidate is quick on their feet, has a positive "can-do attitude", and is always 5 steps ahead of the doctor in anticipating what he/she may need.
Ability to take instruction, multi-task, and work in a very timely manner is an absolute must, in combination with strong attention to detail. The chosen candidate will need to work within our electronic health records and be agreeable to cross-training with the front desk, as necessary.
Ability to get along well with others and pass a random drug screen is essential.
The position will be primarily in the Albuquerque clinic, although travel to our satellite clinics in Rio Rancho, South Valley and Edgewood, among others, is a requirement of the position so reliable transportation is needed and mileage reimbursement is provided when the company vehicle is unavailable for travel purposes. Medical administrative support
Basic life support certification
Patient service experience
Proficiency in EHR systems
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to perform intake procedures and record vital signs
Previous hospital experience preferred
Additional skills in dermatology, hospital medicine, and urgent care are a plus
