Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Maitre d'Hotel to join our team and oversee the hotel guest and dining experience at our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and ensuring exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant or hotel
Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
Coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth service
Address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
Maintain a clean and organized dining area
Providing information: Answering questions about the menu and chef's specials
Managing the staff: Supervising waiters, waitresses, and bar tenders, and training new staff
Ensuring quality service: Ensuring the quality of service and products, and the satisfaction of guests
Controlling the ambiance: Controlling the temperature, music volume, and lighting to create the right mood
Handling problems: Dealing with any problems that may arise
Closing the restaurant: Guiding the opening and closing of the restaurant
Skills
- Experience in guest services within the food service industry
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong understanding of hotel or restaurant guest relations
- Hospitality-driven mindset with a focus on customer service
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.69 - $23.71 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person
