In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and scanning incoming mail and/or packages to distribute to departments or individuals. You will collect and meter outgoing mail and packages and deliver them to the respective drop-off box or desk location within the building. Perform other office services and support other team members as needed.
Your day to day:
Mail Organization
Sort and collate incoming mail
Dispose of junk mail
Process various mail types (returned letters, adjustments, bills, orders, payments)
Resolve issues with incorrect or returned mail
Receive and prepare outgoing mail, applying correct postage
Arrange pickup of outgoing mail
Operate postage meters and other office equipment
Prepare documents for mailing (folding, inserting into envelopes)
Record registered mail
Mail Distribution
Sort mail into appropriate buckets for distribution
Process outgoing shipments (Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, USPS)
Weigh mail to determine correct postage
Distribute mail to departmental bins
Shipping and Receiving
Manage deliveries and organize shipments via various carriers
Record and complete deliveries using internal tracking systems
Manage and track inter-site client shipments using preferred vendors
Ensure accurate tracking and cost allocation for all shipments
Additional Tasks
May need to assist others with scheduling/setup of meetings, events, and reservations
Some lite manual duties may be required to support the day-to-day activities
Manage/Order shipping and office supplies

High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in mail room operations or similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with shipping and mailing software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
