Job Summary: This entry level contract position with the potential to be hired based on performance. This contractor will be responsible for, but is not limited to, establishment of cabling pathways and the installation of multiple types of low-voltage cabling at various job sites in the Pensacola, FL area. We seek self-motivated, and reliable individuals who are eager and willing to learn and grow in their knowledge of the low-voltage industry. The period of performance for this position is starts early 2025 and goes through 2025. The official start date is dependent on the contract. Duties/Responsibilities:
Pulling, identifying and terminating various cables including, but not limited to 18/3 and 12/2 wire in a construction setting.
Installation of electrical boxes and conduit to support wireless security installation.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision and be able to effectively communicate to lead technician and management regarding the progress of the project.
Ability to install ethernet and fiber optic cabling in accordance with (IAW) drawings.
Ability to install cable pathways and cable management.
Ability to test and label connectors and cabling IAW drawings.
Ability to install AVMM equipment and devices.
Meet established timelines for completion to ensure projects stay on schedule.
Demonstrated ability to safely use various types of man lifts and hand/power tools as well as being able to work from ladders, scaffolds or at heights above twenty-five (25) feet.
Responsible for project completion within a specified area or region based on location. In some instances, travel to longer distances and overnight stays are required as work warrants.
Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as being attentive to detail.
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing PCI Globalcom.
All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Experience with pulling low-voltage cabling and establishing pathways is preferred, but not required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the last three (3) years.
Must be a US citizen with a clean background.
Ability to operate different types of aerial/man lifts are required.
Willingness and eagerness to learn and grow in the low-voltage cabling industry.
Ability to read, comprehend and follow blueprints.
