Job Summary The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining up-to-date product information and racking configurations in PIP’s Warehouse Management System. Job Responsibilities
Review of Item Velocity Reports to ensure items are effectively located to increase picker productivity, reduce replenishment and maximize space utilization in the facility.
Assist in the slotting of new items at the time of receiving.
Slotting items into pick slots to support outbound sales.
Utilize different slot types based on product movement, physical characteristics and pick method.
Update of warehouse pick, and reserve pallet locations as needed.
Ensure warehouse mapping current.
Run daily/weekly reports to show warehouse capacity.
Review product placement to increase warehouse efficiency and productivity by reduction in replenishment tasks and associate travel time.
Reduce product damages stemming from incorrect product placement.
Reduce inventory physical adjustments due to incorrect product placement and slotting.
Identify and correct areas that can create safety hazards.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Safely operate an order picker for inventory research
Maintain organized records of various trackers including the audit tracker, spreadsheets, & other reporting documents viewed by middle and upper management.
Core Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years warehouse experience.
Working knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred).
Basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Experience must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Proficient in all Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word.
Ability to use an RF gun (RF technology).
Proven experience in a similar role within a distribution center or warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as data entry and record keeping.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment safely.
Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse software.
Familiarity with safety regulations and practices.
Flexibility in working hours to meet operational needs.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment in which temperature can vary from extreme heat to extreme cold in the elements of rain and snow and noise level is usually moderate to loud.
Frequent requirements include ability to reach with hand and arms and stand and walk.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds
