What Does a Lighting and Hardware Sales Specialist Do?

Greet and engage customers, helping them select appropriate lighting, hardware and building materials based on their project needs.
Provide detailed information on product features, benefits, pricing and availability to guide customer decisions.
Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system
Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular counts and restocking shelves as needed
Answer customer inquiries promptly, offering knowledgeable guidance on lighting and hardware products.
Resolve customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally
Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales area.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations and customer service.

What Does It Take to Be Successful as a Lighting and Hardware Sales Specialist?

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in lighting, hardware or building materials sales required.
Strong familiarity with various types of lighting fixtures and hardware items.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems
Attention to detail and accuracy in product measurements and transactions.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new products and technologies.
Exceptional selling abilities, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service and building positive relationships with customers.
Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Results-oriented with the ability to serve stores with humility and be a steward of Nation’s Best’s values.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible.
Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills.
Ability to work a variety of shifts including Saturdays and occasional overtime.
Ability to carry up to 50lbs with or without assistance as required.
