Lieutenant

Demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the quality management system by:

(a) promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking
(b) engaging, directing and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system requirements
(c) promoting improvement

Demonstrates competence in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and hiring to meet the needs of the Organization.

Responsible for the overall supervision and other administrative functions in the Security Department.

Assist with the Emergency Management Program to include, Training, Drills, and Preparedness.

Monitor, Investigate, Review, and Compile data from complaints, incident reports, and other sources for trends and improvement opportunities.

Develops and updates Security policies, procedures, and post orders based on current training principles, state and federal regulations, and judicial precedence.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly
Qualifications/Training:

Ability to supervise the Security Department
Proficient in the use of firearms and all other security equipment
5 years in Hospital Security with two years in relevant Management or the equivalent in education, training and experience

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school
SC Concealed Armed Security Officer certification/registration (SLED)
SLED Classroom and Firearms Instruction Certification within 1 year of hire date.
Must possess a valid SC Driver’s License
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire
Heartsaver certification within 90 days of hire
Monadnock Baton certification within 90 days of hire
