Opuntia Cannabis is looking for a Lead Grower to run day to day plant management in our cultivation facility in Boulder, Colorado. The main focus of this position will be on maintaining healthy plant growth from the immature plant stage through harvest. This person will be assisting the Cultivation Manager to ensure that plant rotation schedules are maintained, and that products produced meet the company’s standard of quality. This role reports to the Cultivation Manager.

Salary: $19 - $22 per hour
What we are looking for:
An individual who has experience tending to cannabis plants - this is not an entry level position. You will be able to come in on day 1 and work independently based on the schedule provided by the Cultivation Manager. As a lead, you will help coach a small team to ensure their tasks are being completed, teaching where required. You will have a solid understanding of compliance, but may not be an expert yet. You are excited to learn and grow into a management role with greater responsibilities.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Cultivation Manager in scheduling and assigning team tasks
- Effective communication with Cultivation Manager during all phases of production
- Maintaining a healthy garden from clones, vegetative phase, flower phase and harvest
- Managing and maintaining nutrient mixing and irrigation systems
- Executing CDA approved Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols
- Tracking supplies and reporting order requests
- Arranging for testing of final products
- Maintain facility in compliance with all current state, county and city regulations.
- Detailed tracking of progress with logs, apps and/or spreadsheets.
- Maintaining accurate data for state seed-to-sale tracking software (METRC)
Duties may include:
- Transporting marijuana and marijuana products
Skills/Experience needed:
- Working knowledge of Metrc and Google Drive
- Must have a good understanding of growing cannabis with the ability to spot plant health and pest issues that may arise within the grow.
- Experience growing with soil and soilless growing media.
- Minimum of 1 year working in a Colorado licensed cannabis cultivation facility.
- Excellent understanding of current cannabis regulations and compliance protocols.
License/Certification:
- Colorado Cannabis Industry Employee Badge (Required)
- CO Dept of Ag Private Pesticide Applicators License (Required)
