Lead Dental Dental Assistant
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering top-notch oral healthcare services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, be knowledgeable in dental systems and medical coding, and have a passion for delivering patient-centered care. **Responsibilities:** - Assist dentists and hygienists during patient exams, cleanings, and procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment to maintain infection control - Take X-rays and other diagnostic images - Monitor and maintain dental records and patient charts - Perform dental assisting duties, including suctioning and mixing materials - Participate in endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric procedures - Maintain anatomy knowledge to effectively assist with patient care - Operate dental systems and equipment, including Epic software - Provide patient education and support - Maintain a clean and organized work environment - Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care - Perform other duties as assigned by management **Requirements:** - Current certification as a Dental Assistant or willing to obtain within a specified timeframe - Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience - Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures and techniques - Proficiency in dental systems, including Epic software - Familiarity with medical coding and anatomy knowledge - Ability to maintain infection control and adhere to OSHA guidelines - Experience in pediatric and prosthodontic procedures - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations - High school diploma or equivalent required This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic dental practice, with a supportive team and a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
