BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in landscape architecture or landscape design.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: For each year short of graduation, the applicant must have had one year of experience under professional leadership and guidance of such character and diversity as to be a satisfactory substitute for the required education. This experience must have included original landscape design.
In addition to meeting one of the Basic Requirements listed above, applicants must meet the following Minimum Qualifications Requirement in order to be considered:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level(s) in which you are applying:
GS-12
Specialized Experience: One or more full-time years (12-months) of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, performing the following duties:
- Providing technical review on all landscape architectural aspects or project work;
- Coordinating technology transfer with other disciplines within and outside the agency;
- Representing an agency at national meetings, conferences or forums dealing with pertinent specialized areas of landscape architecture; AND
- Developing and leading training on new, emerging or revised technology in landscape architectural analysis.

GS-13
Specialized Experience: One or more full-time years (12-months) of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, performing the following duties:
- Providing technical review on all landscape architectural aspects or project work; coordinating technology transfer with other disciplines within and outside the agency;
- Representing an agency at national meetings, conferences or forums dealing with pertinent specialized areas of landscape architecture;
- Developing and leading training on new, emerging or revised technology in landscape architectural analysis; AND
- Providing landscape architectural consultation to design staffs for projects of highly unique design.
