Kitchen Assistant
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in restaurant, with a focus on food safety and quality. As an assistant, you will play a crucial role in preparing and presenting dishes that meet our high standards of excellence in fine dining. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
-Prepare food items according to recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all dishes are presented in an appealing manner before serving.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the inventory and ordering of food supplies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service.
- Monitor food quality.
- Follow portion control and waste management guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge of current menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods.
- Assist with front line as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work day time hours, Saturdays.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
