Journeyman Lineman

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Lineperson to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical principles and practices, with the ability to work effectively in various environments, including construction sites. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring safe and reliable utility services for our customers.
Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely while performing line work.
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical systems.
Perform utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation.
Collaborate with team members on construction projects to ensure compliance with NEC standards.
Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and implement solutions.
Assist in welding tasks as needed for structural support or repairs.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

Experience

Proven experience as a Journeyperson Lineperson or in a similar role within the electrical field.
Familiarity with commercial electrician practices is preferred.
Strong knowledge of cabling techniques and electrical safety standards.
Ability to work effectively on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience with utility locating methods is a plus.
Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations.

Pay: $40.00 - $43.22 per hour
