CARAVELLE CASINO JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: IT Technician TITLE OF SUPERVISOR: IT Manager SUPERVISES: None GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: A subject matter expert to serve as our in-house IT Technician. The successful incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all computer workstations and associated software within the casino locations. The IT Technician will also be the main point of contact for employees who are experiencing computer issues. He/she will coordinate between the company and external vendors and contractors about IT related infrastructure and development; and will consult with our IT department on any issues that might come up and advise about potential fixes or efficiency controls. A responsible, highly productive professional who can work with various levels of employees and vendors to ensure the casino’s continued success. MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: Must be 21 years of age GAMING: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Casino Employee license work permit POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software
Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel
Verify functionality of hardware and software components
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone
Coordinate the needs of in-house IT users and remote employees, vendors and contractors
Assist employees with computer problems and answer their questions
Conduct daily network backup operations
Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction
Assess infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands
Protect customer data outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary needs
Manage and oversee departmental quotas
Offer suggestions for possible upgrades and changes within the IT department
Must adhere to the company’s established COVID-19 protocols
Perform other duties as assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required
3 plus years’ experience in computer networks and system maintenance
2 plus years’ experience on current network operating system
Excellent IT, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously
Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience
Proven track record of maintaining IT structural integrity
Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required
Ability to communicate, understand and write English, bi-lingual a plus
Must be prepared to work over-time, nights, weekends and holidays
Must not have been convicted of a felony
Must submit to and pass an Alcohol/Drug Screen
Must present a well-groomed appearance
Ability to lift 25lbs
