Advantage is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to manage the referral intake process from start to finish. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless transition for patients beginning home health services. The ideal candidate will be adept at processing referrals, gathering patient information, handling insurance authorizations, and maintaining effective communication with patients, marketers, and referral sources.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of the referral intake process to ensure efficient onboarding of new patients.
Obtain and verify patient information, including insurance details, and manage the authorization process.
Communicate effectively with patients, referral sources, and internal teams to facilitate a smooth admission process.
Qualifications:
Highly organized and capable of performing duties in a fast-paced environment with precision and speed.
Minimum of 2 years
in healthcare administration or a similar intake role; experience in
home health or physician servicespreferred.
Medical Assistant (MA) certification is a plus.
High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certification in healthcare administration is advantageous.
Strong communication, follow-up, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in essential computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF, and web browsers like Google Chrome).
