Overview:
Remote Work option - This person will work their first 90 days in the office. If there is completion of successful 90 day evaluation, this person will have the opportunity to work 8 days per month in the office and the rest from home.
Salary range for this position is $71,905-$84,572; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Information Security Analyst evaluates, plans, designs, configures, and implements security systems to protect the organization's computer networks from cyber-attacks and helps set and maintain security standards. Analyzes, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains installed systems and support users. This role will operate and monitor network and host-based intrusion detection/prevention systems, recommends security solutions, advises on systems and application-level security configurations, and investigates and mitigates security risks as required.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
Analyzes network traffic, intrusion attempts, activity logs, and system alerts for trends, anomalies, and potential security breaches.
Works with team to investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
Assists in the installation of security measures and operates software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
Operates, administers, and monitors network and host-based intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Works with team to develops scripts, tools, and procedures to automate scans, assessments, and other monitoring and discovery activities.
Conducts or coordinates vulnerability scans, and penetration tests on campus systems, document findings, and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Understands firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
Assists other technical support staff in identifying and implementing appropriate security safeguards, including patch application and anti-malware strategies.
Works with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities and helps colleagues install security software and understand information security management.
Researches security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associates Degree in Computer Science with 1 year experience in Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity OR 3 years' experience in Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity.
Other Licenses/Certifications: Must obtain Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA Network+, Comp TIA Security+, (ISC)2 Associate, or other IT-related certifications within 18 months of hire. All certifications must be maintained
Other skills/knowledge: Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Knowledge of healthcare information technology or cybersecurity at a level normally acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree with a concentration in Computer Science or other closely related field
Certifications: Actvie certificaitoin in either Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA Network+, Comp TIA Security+, (ISC)2 Associate. Other IT-related certifications will be considered
Experience: Previous work-related experience within the healthcare information technology or cybersecurity industry.
Experience with key OSF applications.
