Infant/Toddler Daycare Teacher - Full Time

Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Interact with and supervise young children in small and large group settings
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Meet the needs of each individual child
- Collaborate with other teachers to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities using research-based curriculum and best practices
- Must participate in continuing education/professional development trainings
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their child's development
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to effectively manage a classroom
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child
- Ability to participate in physical activity such as lifting, holding, sitting on the floor, and playing with children
To Join Our Team You Must:
- Be at least 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED
- Pass criminal and child protective services background checks
- Register/be registered on WV STARS Career Pathway
- Provide employee physical and negative tuberculosis (TB) test (once hired)
- Have previous experience working with children
- Bachelors or Associates degree in early childhood education, elementary education, child development, or similar field, is required for lead positions
