Independent Contractor (1099) License Professional Counselor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals facing various mental health challenges, including PTSD, attachment disorders, and family-related issues. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care practices and the ability to maintain accurate medical records while adhering to coding standards such as ICD-9 and ICD-10.
Duties

Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide counseling services to clients dealing with PTSD, attachment, and family issues, utilizing evidence-based practices.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques as needed.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate clients and families about mental health issues and available resources.
Stay informed about current trends in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

Must possess a valid license as a Professional Counselor or Professional Counselor Candidate in the state of Colorado.
Strong knowledge of medical records management and coding (ICD-9, ICD-10).
Experience or training in PTSD care, working with individuals with attachment-related issues, and grief issues counseling is highly desirable.
Proficiency in applied behavior analysis and behavior management techniques.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation practices.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
