HR Generalist

Job Summary:
The HR Generalist – HR Operations & Payroll will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality HR consulting services to clients utilizing Paycom. This position will focus on HR operations, payroll administration, and HR process optimization, supporting client needs and ensuring compliance with HR best practices and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
HR Operations:
  • Manage day-to-day HR administrative functions, including maintaining accurate employee records, managing HRIS workflows, and preparing reports for clients.
  • Develop, document, and improve HR processes to align with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Assist with client-specific HR initiatives, such as onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
HRIS Management (Paycom):
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Paycom, assisting clients with system optimization, troubleshooting, and process enhancements.
  • Train clients on Paycom modules, ensuring effective utilization of the system for payroll, benefits, and reporting functions.
  • Conduct audits within Paycom to ensure data integrity and compliance with applicable laws and client policies.
Payroll Administration:
  • Oversee payroll processing for clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
  • Validate payroll inputs, including timekeeping, deductions, and benefits adjustments.
  • Address client and employee inquiries related to payroll discrepancies, compliance, and reporting.
Benefits Administration Support:
  • Assist clients in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations within Paycom.
  • Provide guidance on benefits-related questions and facilitate communications between clients and their benefits providers.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure client HR and payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and deliver HR and payroll-related reports, including compliance audits and analytics.
  • Stay current with employment laws and regulations to proactively advise clients on compliance matters.
Training and Client Support:
  • Provide training to clients on HR operations and Paycom functionality to enhance their understanding and efficiency.
  • Support clients in executing HR projects, such as employee handbooks, policy updates, and system rollouts.
HR Project Management:
  • Lead or support HR-related projects based on client needs, including process improvements, system migrations, and compliance initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and Paycom to ensure smooth implementation and resolution of system-related issues.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.
Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations, payroll administration, and HRIS (preferably Paycom).
  • Proven track record of managing HR processes and payroll in a consulting or multi-client environment is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of HR operations, payroll processes, and benefits administration.
  • Expertise in Paycom or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client needs and priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and training delivery.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
