Case & Associates is looking to fill the role of HR Assistant at their corporate office. This is a great position for someone looking to start a career in HR with lots of great cross-training opportunities in different areas of the field. This would be the perfect position for someone recently graduated or currently pursuing and HR degree or someone who has worked a little in the field and would like to launch a career and learn more. Basic Purpose:
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Manager on all personnel matters and the overall coordination of the human resources function. This may include but is not limited to assisting with payroll administration, benefits administration including workers compensation, recruiting and clerical duties, employee relations, corporate communications, recognition, and performance management.
This position is responsible for all of the following:
Answering employee requests and questions related to any HR process
Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and privacy
Assists in the hiring process by preparing and auditing new hire paperwork, I-9 verifications, background, drug and credit screening and maintaining accurate documentation.
Maintains employee files and database including performance tracking which includes scanning, validation, and shredding activities.
Performs payroll and administrative duties of data entry, bonus summary calculations, expense accounting and coding and auditing as directed by the HR Manager.
Updates and assists with questions related to Learning Management System.
Creates and updates HR process spreadsheets and documents as directed by the HR Manager.
Assists with Benefit Enrollment and follow up for newly eligible employees including health care, 401K, FMLA and workers compensation claim issues.
Schedules meetings, interviews and conferences as directed by the HR Manager.
Assists HR manager with various HR initiatives including but not limited to compensation, safety and wellness.
Makes photocopies, faxes documents, processes mail, answers phones, and performs other clerical functions.
Prepares correspondence, edits and distributes employee handbook and policy updates, and assists with orientation process.
Administers and supports recognition programs, anniversaries, birthdays, and newsletters.
Completes any job related task or responsibility assigned by the Human Resource Manager.
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Valid Driver's License
1-2 years Administrative Experience
Some college and Human Resource experience strongly preferred
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening including criminal, dmv, credit and employment history checks as well as a drug test.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs; use hands to finger, handle, grasp or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk; hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
