We are seeking an experienced and dedicated General Manager to oversee our 84-room property located along the Interstate 90 corridor in the Beautiful Black Hills. This is a multi-year award winning property receiving top 20 in the chain recognition since 2019. About the Position As the General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests and a positive working environment for our staff. This role requires investment in our business, leadership, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service. Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and the hotel's bar and lounge.
Ensure high occupancy rates and manage reservations, especially during peak seasons.
Maintain high quality standards in guest services and facilities.
Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Manage budgets, financial reports, and marketing strategies.
Coordinate with owners to align business strategies and goals.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a hotel manager or in a similar hospitality role.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. This will include some on call time to cover staffing and facility situations as needed.
Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, starting from $55,000 to $65,000 per year, with the potential for a year-end production bonus. The role requires 55 hours a week or more from May through September, and 40 hours a week from October to April, including some front desk shifts. Benefits include paid time off and a health care stipend.
