SUMMARY OBJECTIVE Provide leadership to the company by coordinating the development and implementation of strategic and operating plans. Ensure company’s operations meet production efficiency, quality and service standards and cost-effective management of resources. Evaluate and report to the President on the progress of plans. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Strategic Management; develop and implement the company’s long-term strategic and annual operating plans including the preparation of annual budgets. Monitor and report to staff and corporate management regarding progress. 2. Financial management; provide vision regarding the overall financial health of the company ensuring continuity and solvency of the company; ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Maintain general oversight and ensure the preparation of timely and accurate financial, regulatory and administrative reports. 3. Human resource management; including recruitment and contracting of company and project staff; employee orientation, development and training; employee relations to manage and motivate staff to exceed targets and service standards; performance management in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures including reward and disciplinary actions 4. Project management; coordinate project planning, resource management and the development of schedules for the installation of automatic fire suppression systems, medical and/or bulk gas systems and related service activities for clients 5. Marketing and Public Relations; work with the Group General Manager to plan and execute marketing strategies and sales reviews; nurture relationships with key customer accounts and interface with in-store customers and new prospects; provide leadership in the development and implementation of new product and service lines; maintain responsiveness to market developments 6. Inventory management; manage stock levels to ensure that the store is appropriately stocked and stock is competitively priced; carry out loss prevention initiatives; coordinate the delivery of goods between the ports and warehouse 7. Production and service management; direct and oversee production and service activities and staff; oversee and ensure high safety standards at all times; direct production and service activities to ensure safety and compliance with quality control standards, regulatory compliance, and lease and service agreements. 8. Property management; oversee and ensure that the company’s premises are maintained in accordance with company standards. OTHER RESPONSIBILITES 1. Represent the company externally to customers, suppliers, government agencies and the general public. 2. Participate fully in professional societies and activities related to the business in general. 3. Manage internal corporate communications and in-house events and conduct regular departmental meetings QUALIFICATIONS 1. Appropriate degree in business management or a related field 2. A minimum of five years senior experience in business management, planning and financial oversight. 3. Experience in a retail sales/customer service environment would be an asset 4.
