Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Processing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in the oil and gas industry. As a Gas Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas processing plants and related equipment. This role requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair gas processing plants and associated equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct inspections of gas systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Perform equipment repairs as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Utilize distributed control systems for monitoring system performance.
- Apply basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data analysis.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during installations or repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various equipment issues.
- Familiarity with oil field or gas processing operations and maintenance practices.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of logic controllers and distributed control systems is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed during job functions.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to installations and repairs.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
