FUEL PRICING MANAGER

Manage fuel retail pricing for all divisions. Execute retail price changes centrally, applied across the divisions. Ensure that pricing strategies are executed consistently and in alignment with product and promotional strategies. Lead and mentor a team of pricing analysts, providing stretch goals to aid in the team's growth & development, and ensure accountability. Ensure everyday pricing is aligned with the Customer 1st Strategy in support of the corporate-specific financial and customer objectives. Serve as the pricing liaison between General Office and divisions to communicate pricing related information. Bachelor's Degree Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent experience
5+ years of pricing or analytical experience in the industry
Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all business matters
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel
Ability to mentor and lead a team of analysts
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities and ability to work independently
Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with price management tools

- Comparable position/experience- Foster a partnership with stakeholders to support the development of key pricing strategies and tactics that deliver financial objectives and ROI

Influence business decisions based on analyses based on available pricing and research tools as well as on company pricing and promotional guidelines
Provide solutions to support pricing initiatives with an eye on protecting brand perception, protecting and growing market share, and attaining financial goals
Develop pricing strategies to deliver optimum gallon growth and profit while ensuring they align with overall company branding and pricing strategies
Model the impact of proposed price strategies in terms of gallons and margin, against budget and goals
Assess new and existing markets to identify areas of opportunities and develop strategies
Collaborate with other teams to establish a suitable competitive price survey schedule
Develop guidelines that will ensure legal compliance with state specific legislation
Define reporting enhancements that will enhance pricing recommendations and price management system related projects
Develop & present pricing strategy information to senior leadership
Communicate pricing trends and insights to business, articulate impacts on the company's current strategy and recommend solutions
Mentor and provide direction to direct reports
Drive accountability within the team to seek out strategic opportunities to maximize sales, market share and margin
Travel to markets and assigned locations to review and characterize all fuel competition relative to Kroger fuel facilities
