Job Summary
The Care Team Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing and supporting the care team in delivering high-quality services to children and families. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to promoting the well-being of children, particularly those involved with child protective services and child welfare. The Care Team Leader will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the needs of children and their families are met effectively.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of caregivers, ensuring adherence to best practices in childcare and support services.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for children, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and well-being, adjusting care strategies as necessary.
Facilitate communication between families, social workers, and other professionals involved in the care process.
Provide training and support to team members on relevant policies, procedures, and best practices in child welfare.
Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and communications related to each child’s case.
Advocate for the rights and needs of children within the system, ensuring they receive appropriate resources and support.
Skills
Experience in child protective services or social work is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of child welfare principles and practices.
Ability to accept diverse perspectives while working collaboratively with families from various backgrounds.
Experience working with children with developmental disabilities is a plus.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with children, families, and professionals.
