Foremen and Experienced Irrigation Technicians
Job Overview
Colton Underground Sprinklers has been installing and servicing landscape irrigation systems since 1999 in Alaska. Our business is growing, and we are looking forward to a busy 2025 season.
We are looking for Foremen and Experienced Irrigation Technicians.
Full time, May – Sept. Monday – Friday
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems
- Dig trenches and lay pipes for irrigation purposes. Able to operate a vibratory plow/pipe puller
- Build and adjust watering schedules for optimal plant health. Knowledge of multi brands of irrigation controllers
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and fix irrigation issues
- Operate power tools for installation and maintenance tasks
- Perform lawn care duties related to irrigation needs
- Irrigate landscapes efficiently to conserve water
- Utilize hand tools for precise adjustments in irrigation systems
Skills
- Proficiency in irrigation installation and repair
- Ability to dig trenches and lay pipes effectively with a vibratory plow/pipe puller
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
- Experience with power tools used in irrigation work
- Knowledge of lawn care practices related to irrigation
- Skill in irrigating landscapes to promote plant health
- Proficient in using hand tools for precise adjustments in irrigation systems
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Good communication skills with customers, co-workers and the office.
- Possess a strong work ethic, professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Self-motivated, willing to work independently or with crew.
- Be responsible, honest, organized, and punctual.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
