We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Edible Bean Facility Manager to oversee our facility in Manvel, ND. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the pulse industry and eager to lead a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, local processors, and elevators.
- Receive and grade grain from growers and other elevators.
- Manage settlements with growers and handle disputes effectively.
- Oversee seed stock sales
- Market price discovery to settle competitive bids with farmers.
Management:
- Lead and manage a small team of employees while overseeing daily plant operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory and effective storage management.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards and quality programs.
- Document and maintain daily records and reports.
Compliance:
- Directly manage compliance and regulatory tasks, including city, state, and labor department regulations, as well as phytosanitary inspections and other compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the grain industry is an asset; experience in other agricultural fields is also welcome.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service and problem-resolution skills.
- A university degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary and Benefits:
Compensation for this position starts at 120,000 with flexibility to offer a higher salary for candidates with exceptional experience and skills
