Dog Bather/Grooming Assistant

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Responsibilities
- Gently bathe and dry pets using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Brush and comb pets to remove loose fur and mats.
- Inspect pets for any signs of skin conditions or other health issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and all grooming tools.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs.
- Assist with the handling of animals during grooming sessions to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both pets and staff.
Candidates should possess the following skills or experiences:
- Experience in dog training or animal handling is preferred.
- Background in customer service to effectively engage with pet owners.
- Familiarity with kennel operations or veterinary technician duties is a plus.
- Prior experience in pet grooming, pet sitting, or as a veterinary assistant will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of equine care is an added advantage but not required.
