Overview We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and results-driven Dispatcher/Account Manager to join our team! Daily responsibilities include (but not limited to): Perform daily operations for customer accounts including load entry and monitoring, coordination of freight movements, customer communication, tracking and tracing, driver management, fleet maintenance, and management of customer needs. The ideal individual is flexible, open-minded and will be able to identify organic growth opportunities for current customers, as well as provide backup support for management and other team members as needed.
Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth within assigned accounts.
Analyze market trends and client needs to provide tailored solutions that meet their objectives.
Communicate effectively with customers and drivers
Provides exceptional customer service and support by frequently and proactively reaching out to customers to establish rapport, deepen working relationships, and win revenue-generating opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and products to customers
Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM tools to track account activity, manage sales pipelines, and report on performance metrics.
Lead initiatives aimed at improving account management processes and enhancing client engagement.
Manage truck drivers' schedules and routes
Reviewing driver logs and ELDs; documenting all calls, deliveries, routes and times for pickups and deliveries
Completing paperwork related to shipments
Handling customer complaints and inquiries
Qualifications
Proven experience in dispatching, logistics management, fleet/driver management, account management, and/or business development
Knowledge of trucking regulations and laws
Analytical skills to problem-solve and coordinate difficult situation; ability to assess market conditions and client requirements effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a talent for building rapport with clients.
Technology skills, particularly in transportation management software
Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing projects or teams within a logistics environment.
Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM software is highly desirable.
Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining positive client relationships.
A proactive mindset with a focus on achieving results and exceeding client expectations.
