Position Overview: The Director of Operations will lead and manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless and efficient service delivery. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role requires a strategic thinker with leadership skills to oversee teams, troubleshoot operational issues, and uphold DH2’s commitment to service excellence. The Director of Operations will also play a key role in maintaining high standards of customer service, quality assurance, and operational efficiency in a growing company. Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Oversee the Dispatchers/Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) team and ensure chauffeurs are adhering to schedules, routes, and the company dress code. The team includes approximately 30 chauffeurs.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and manage the reporting of daily incidents, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to DH2’s standards.
Operational Oversight: Supervise day-to-day operations, including the management of a fleet of around 30 vehicles, and ensure compliance with safety and service standards.
Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot operational challenges and provide strategic solutions in real-time.
Team Development: Lead and support the growth of the operations team through training and development.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with other departments, including sales, customer service, and maintenance, to ensure all operations run smoothly.
Client Relationship Management: Ensure a "client-first" focus across operations, maintaining high standards of customer service.
Technology Integration: Implement and optimize operational technologies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
Talent Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience in operations management, preferably within the transportation industry.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively with minimal supervision.
Problem-solving: Strategic thinker with the ability to address operational challenges quickly and efficiently.
Customer Service: Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Tri-State area (JFK, LGA, EWR, and NYC boroughs) is preferred.
Adaptability: Ability to wear multiple hats and manage various aspects of operations in a fast-paced, growing environment.
