Director of Development
The New York Bar Foundation (TNYBF), a philanthropic organization recognizing the importance of the law to ensure access to justice for everyone, providing grants to facilitate financial support for life-changing programs, and encouraging professionals to improve access to justice and advance the rule of law; is currently seeking a full time Director of Development.
The Director of Development is responsible for planning and implementing a $4M comprehensive fundraising campaign that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and planned gifts to secure a sustained increase in revenue. The Director will work collaboratively with the TNYBF Board of Directors to establish yearly fundraising goals; serve as a major gift officer with a portfolio of the Foundation’s top 50-70 donors; oversee the growth of the Fellows program; manage the TNYBF and The New York State Bar Association’s member-wide appeals and stewardship to maintain engagement with non-donor and lapsed donor members; and, track and evaluate key fundraising metrics to develop data-driven strategies. In addition, the Director works in close partnership with the Foundation Executive to establish fundraising objectives.
A bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, marketing, or related field; or equivalent experience is required. Eight (8) or more years of successful experience with demonstrated competence in annual giving, major gifts, corporate/foundation relations, and gift planning are required. Proficiency in social media platforms, Zoom, Word Press, and other NYSBA software such as Fonteva/Salesforce and Clear Access is preferred. Ability to travel is required. CFRE is preferred.
The New York Bar Foundation offers a competitive salary and benefit package. Hybrid or remote scheduling options may be available.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
