Director of Case Management

Director of Case Management - Palmdale Regional Medical Center - Los Angeles County, California
Position Overview: As the Director of Case Management, you will be the cornerstone of our efforts to deliver high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services. You'll lead initiatives in utilization review, discharge planning, and care coordination across multiple departments, including Emergency, Labor & Delivery, and Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and optimize case management and social work operations
Lead efforts to reduce denials and improve approvals
Build strong relationships with physicians, hospitalists, and ED staff
Implement and oversee weekly educational programs for staff
Drive continuous improvement in length of stay metrics
Manage the integration of social workers into the case management team
Develop strategies to address challenges in Intermediate Care
Collaborate with corporate on utilization reviews

Qualifications:

Current California RN license
BSN Minimum
At least 3 years of clinical case management/utilization review experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Current BLS certification
Hospital experience
