Upper Valley Services (UVS) is one of Vermont’s designated non-profit agencies serving people with developmental disabilities and adults who are eligible for Adult Family Care.
UVS is seeking an engaging and collaborative team member to oversee and support our Moretown Program’s Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). In this role, the DSP Support Manager will:
Ensure Individuals are receiving healthy, safe, and supportive self-directed services in their lives, employment, community, and education
Supervise, mentor, and train current and incoming DSP team members
Communicate and collaborate with Service Coordinators regarding scheduling and supports
Fill in for DSP team members when needed
Actively participate in the development of community and employment support
Foster the growth of relationships and networks within the community
A few of the essential skills needed for this valuable position are:
Strong organizational and written and verbal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to cover shifts and work overtime if needed
Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills a must
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle emergency situations
Ability to transport Individuals, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable insured transportation a must
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years’ experience in developmental disabilities services
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
Previous experience as a DSP preferred
Understanding and proficiency in electronic scheduling, health record, and data platforms
