Delivery Supervisor

We are a leading home services provider, and we are looking for a responsible and reliable individual to serve as a Delivery Supervisor. You will supervise and lead CDL delivery driver teams, which includes communication and enforcement of company procedures and policies, employee development and progressive counseling. Above all, you will use your communication and active listening skills to provide exceptional service on weekly delivery observations/ride-alongs.

Your charge will be to build and maintain a work environment within the operations team characterized by high expectations, high internal motivation, accountability, open communication and teamwork.

Specific duties include:

Provides field supervision to driver team, as well as administrative and measurement functions of the department.
Contacts customers regarding delivery problems; provides customer service support as necessary; responds to customer inquiries and problems in a timely manner; resolves customer issues related to oil delivery as needed
Monitors delivery route progress and adjusts based on changing conditions
Communicates with drivers, delivery management, maintenance shop and service department regarding on-road problems (complaints, spills, breakdowns, DOT stop, etc.)
Advises manager of problem conditions and assists manager in various delivery operations, reporting requirements, and related duties
Understands and complies with DOT/DEP requirements and company safety policies, including spill notification and response plans
Enforces operational procedures concerning deliveries and safe operation of the trucks and proper utilization of the personal protection equipment (PPE)
Utilizes performance reports to assess productivity and takes corrective action as needed
Ensures compliance with all Company Haz Mat, DOT and other regulatory guidelines within district; ensures a safe work environment
Ensures all newly hired employees are trained and properly oriented about all policies and procedures required to perform assigned tasks
Provides feedback to team members and recommends formal training when warranted
Conducts safety training for drivers
Attends monthly safety meetings; generates and manages monthly reports
Performs administrative duties as needed

Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Proven supervisory experience and leadership ability

Experience working with DOT guidelines and regulations

Must be regularly available and willing to work the hours necessary to meet business need
Strong computer and analytical skills

Valid driver's license with the ability to meet the company's motor vehicle policy
Class B CDL with Hazmat Endorsement strongly preferred

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
