Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy department within a community pharmacy setting, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and patient care practices, particularly in critical care environments.
Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including compounds, while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure optimal patient care.
Perform medication inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care.
Adhere to <USP 795> and <USP 800> standards.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
Utilize aseptic technique when compounding sterile products to minimize contamination risks.

Requirements

Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; relevant experience componding non-HD and HD setting is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality.

Pay: $19.50 - $24.50 per hour
