Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities:
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret physician's medication orders
- Check-in orders
- Aid in the filing, processing and dispensing of medications
- Re-package and label medications
- Adhere to safety practices in order to ensure quality care for our patients
- Help maintain the drug inventory through inventory control practices
- Provide customer service by answering phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
- Triage requests and prioritize them
- Check for expiration dates on medications on a regular basis
- Blister pack medications
- Run cash register and assist customers at check out
- Assist customers in the store with locating specific items
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Effective computer and keyboarding skills
- Basic mathematics skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure
- Working knowledge of pharmacy information systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong prioritization skills and an ability to make decisions independently and effectively
- Able to operate equipment such as computers, tablet counters, and cash registers
- Drug testing required
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Non-smoking campus
- Evening and some Saturdays required
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Day Shift (Required)
