Collections Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing outstanding accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and collect outstanding debts from clients through effective communication and negotiation tactics.
  • Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in billing and payments.
  • Utilize financial software to track collections and manage accounts receivable.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their accounts.
  • Assist with medical billing processes, ensuring compliance with revenue cycle management practices.
  • Maintain detailed records of all interactions with clients and update account statuses accordingly.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for improving collection rates.
Experience
  • Proven experience in collections or related fields such as telemarketing or customer service is preferred.
  • Familiarity with debits and credits, medical collection processes, and financial concepts is highly desirable.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts amicably.
  • Experience with account reconciliation and revenue cycle management will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in using financial software tools for tracking collections and managing accounts.
