The Opportunity This position works out of our San Juan location in the Abbott Vascular Division. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. This is an exempt role.
As the Clinical Specialist II, you will provide technical & clinical support within assigned territory to AV Territory Managers and external stakeholders (Physicians, Cath lab staff, and administrative personnel). The Clinical Specialist II will be responsible for providing technical clinical expertise and support of the sales process to colleagues, current customers and/or potential customers. Works under general direction with clinical and sales teammates to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities by creating competency, comfort, and expertise with all Divisional cardiovascular technologies among physician, lab technician and Cath lab support staff. Exercise's judgment in planning, organizing, and performing work; monitors performance and reports status to manager.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for achieving all sales metrics for the assigned territory.
Engage in the product demand generation for the assigned territory and develop deep understanding of the market trends and customer needs.
Analyze market share and sales information in the assigned territory and recommends actions to achieve sales plan.
Provides technical clinical and programming assistance, primary in support of the Senior Territory Managers and records in company ERP systems (e.g. Sales Force) territory performance (e.g. market share, new leads, objectives, daily activities).
Integrates into all accounts; builds trust and relationships; establishes strong rapport with customers and with gained product knowledge, becomes proficient in complex programming and case support.
Interfaces with all levels of the Sales and Sales Management staff and provides support to Senior Territory Managers and Cath lab staff and provides In-house and training certifications to commercial team documenting the process in accordance with company guidelines.
Provide sales support, clinical in-services, training, and guidance to current or potential customers and maintain in depth knowledge of assigned accounts and customers including competitor's market.
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environment Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Assist hospital procedures, playing a key role in the material preparation, as well as providing technical support and device and system troubleshooting as needed.
Complies with US Food and Drug (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, process and task assignments.
Provides large scale education activities for customers such as In-Service, product launch, activities including educational credits.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum two (2) years both overall and any industry-specific experience needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Sales experience in clinical environment.

The base pay for this position is $50,000.00 – $100,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
