Job Title: Civil Designer

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our dynamic team. The Civil Designer will create detailed civil engineering designs and drawings for various infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, proficiency in design software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and other team members. Duties Design & Drafting:
Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints using Auto CAD, Civil 3D, or other design software.
Review and update project drawings based on engineer and architect feedback.
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates.
Collaboration:
Perform site visits and inspections to gather data, take measurements, and ensure that construction activities comply with design specifications.
Document site conditions and communicate findings to the project team.
Quality Assurance:
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project records as required.
Assist in maintaining project files, including drawing logs, specifications, and as-built documents.
Support the development of project schedules and monitor progress.
Project Management:
Ensure that all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies and standards.
Promote and adhere to safety practices in all phases of work.
Documentation:
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all design work, including reports, calculations, and project records.
Assist in the preparation of bid documents and construction specifications.
Requirements
Valid Driver’s license
Clean Background check
Ability to communicate clearly via phone, virtual meetings, and in person.
Qualifications (required related experience)
Knowledge of site planning, storm, water, wastewater, road design,
Knowledge of Hydrology and Hydraulics design.
Strong personal organizational and time management skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to multi-task and work with a group and on an individual basis
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
Knowledge and understanding of traffic design.
Education (required minimum education level):
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a commensurate experience
Proficient with Auto CAD Civil 3D
Proficient with Hydro CAD.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.)
