Equipment Lender (Loan Officer)

JOB SUMMARY:
Help CHB attain profit goals through credit extension to assigned requests according to established policies, procedures and guidelines. Communicate frequently and directly with brokers to process received credit applications. Serve as CHB’s primary contact with applicants who have submitted equipment financing requests. Read, process and decline (as appropriate) credit applications and their supporting documentation to help determine credit worthiness. Conduct phone interviews with applicants to acquire relevant financial info for underwriting. Acquire and compile relevant application-related data and analyze the entire application package against lending criteria for approval potential. Aid staff on special projects and larger financing requests. Deliver exceptional customer service to existing clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
a. Attends to the needs of present and potential customers seeking equipment financing loans/leases
b. Interview applicants to determine whether a request is an acceptable risk within established lending policy, procedures and guidelines
c. Recommend credit requests to Loan Committee for both ‘Approval’ and ‘Denial’
d. Communicate and record loan transactions and other matters involving present or prospective customers
e. Help remarket Company Owned Assets (COA) and prepare/complete financing paperwork as needed
f. Call and email potential and existing brokers and borrowers as assigned
g. Maintain a portfolio that satisfies quality standards as established by CHB, senior management, and corporate requirements
h. Maintain/use credit analysis skills, including to read, understand and analyze cash flow, financial statements, and budgets; make sound lending recommendations/decisions using available tools
i. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree from accredited college/university, preferably in business, finance, or accounting; or equivalency of 18 months full-time work experience in sales, lending, banking, or finance business related position
2. General knowledge of construction, agricultural or transportation equipment and over the road truck and industrial machinery…or willingness to learn
3. Comprehension and application of credit analysis
4. Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone)
5. Efficient keyboarding and computer use skills
6. Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships
7. Professional dress and appearance per established standards
8. Demonstrated interpersonal rapport and skills with brokers, applicants and borrowers
9. Areas of general competency: decision-making, dependability, development, environmental safety, evaluation skills, prioritizing, problem-solving, selling COA items, teamwork, and effective time management
10. Maintain privacy of customer data and confidentiality of CHB data and sensitive information

Physical Requirements:
Light Work - exerting up to 40 pounds of force rarely, and/or up to 20 pounds occasionally, and/or up to
10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, finger dexterity, grasping, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, and repetitive motions. Thinking, concentrating listening, speaking, and interacting with others. Occasional day or overnight travel regionally (WY-NE-CO) and across the US for meetings, conferences, training, and staff development. Desktop-type computer system and assorted office/admin type applications, printer, scanner, copier, fax, telephone, and voice mail answering phone system.
