Equipment Rental Advisor

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated experienced Equipment Rental Advisor for our Big Mike's Rental location. The Front Counter Associate is responsible for receiving and handling merchandise, accurately calculating and totaling bills, and processing payments. This role requires assisting customers in locating needed items, initiating rental orders, and monitoring equipment status. Additionally, the Front Counter Associate must maintain comprehensive knowledge of equipment operation and safety standards, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Welcome customers, answers phones, offer product information, answer inquiries, and help select equipment to meet their needs.
  • Rental Order Processing: Initiate rental orders, verify equipment availability, handle reservations, and complete transactions accurately.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve customer issues such as late returns or equipment malfunctions with professionalism, ensuring prompt and satisfactory outcomes.
  • Record Maintenance: Keep accurate records of rentals, returns, damages, and interactions to support inventory control, billing, and issue tracking.
  • Inventory Oversight: Monitor equipment status and availability, and coordinate with maintenance for restocking, repairs, and cleaning to ensure rental readiness.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of equipment operation, safety, and maintenance to effectively assist customers.
  • Safety Training: Instruct customers on safety procedures and correct equipment used to reduce misuse and accidents.
  • Sales Assistance: Recommend additional products or services, like protective gear or add-on equipment, to enhance rentals.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with mechanics, drivers, and team members to confirm equipment readiness, schedule deliveries, and streamline logistics.
  • Merchandise Management: Stock and display merchandise, order items and repair parts as necessary.
  • Equipment Cleaning and Servicing: Clean and service returned equipment to ensure it is ready for the next rental.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Complete other tasks assigned by management to support store operations. High school diploma or equivalent required

A minimum of 1 year sales experience preferred
Valid Driver's License
