Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle cash and operate a cash register or POS system effectively. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
Operate cash registers and POS systems to process transactions accurately.
Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to provide informed assistance to customers.
Stock shelves and ensure that products are displayed neatly and attractively.
Conduct product demos when necessary to enhance customer engagement.
Supervise junior staff members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

Skills

Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
Experience with cash handling and operating cash registers or POS systems.
Retail sales experience is preferred, with an understanding of sales techniques.
Ability to perform stock duties effectively, ensuring inventory is well-managed.
Experience in supervising staff is beneficial for team-oriented environments.
Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive customer relationships.
