Tankersley Food Services in Van Buren, Arkansas is looking for a Buying Assistant to join our team. The Buying Assistant will comprehensively assist the buying department with administrative and operational support. Duties/Responsibilities: Include but not limited to the following:
Run daily/weekly reports
Oversee shipping schedules
Update databases
Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
Follow up with suppliers as needed
Copies, Scans, files and retrieves materials as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs
Ability to work independently
Ability to operate office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, or copier
Ability to interact professionally with customers and co-workers
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required, (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Clerical/Office experience required
At least two years of related experience
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
