Bartender/Server
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving beverages, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your ability to engage with customers and provide recommendations will enhance their dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Engage with customers, taking orders, providing recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tabs.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and drink orders for banquets and catering events.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
- Assist in training new staff on bar operations, drink preparation, and customer service standards.
- Stay updated on beverage trends, menu changes, and promotions to effectively communicate with guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bartender in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems or similar cash register systems is a plus.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell beverages and menu items effectively.
- Proficient in basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of the food industry, including banquet and catering service experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage customers positively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be of legal drinking age.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- All Bartenders and servers receive all their own cash and credit card tips. Bartenders split tips only if there is another bartender helping for big events.
- Shifts are 10:30AM - 4:30PM & 4:30 - Close
