PURPOSE: The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for assisting in the coordination of job-site activities for a multi-family renovation project. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate project manpower, coordination and material needs to all subcontractors, suppliers and management on a daily basis.
Create and maintain delivery schedule, post on site where visible to all parties.
Communicating and monitoring safe work practices.
Monitor and direct daily job site clean-up activities to ensure a safe work environment at all times.
Monitor all project team members’ daily activities to ensure 100% compliance with all G/C, OSHA, State, and Client's safety regulations.
Complete weekly site safety inspections.
Complete Daily Construction Reports.
Serve as an on-site representative for communicating project requirements, status and changes to ensure a smooth-running project.
Ensure that all project documentation is current by posting all approved addenda, bulletins, etc.
Attend and participate in weekly on-site superintendent/foreman meetings.
Ensure that all approved change orders are properly implemented into the project in a timely manner as specified and detailed within the change order documents.
Requirements:
2 years of experience in multifamily construction
Experience with wood frame, stick build, podium, masonry and other various build types
A demonstrated understanding of multifamily constructions methods and means
Willingness to work the hours necessary to meet project deadlines
Ability to act as a leader to TWG team members and on-site contractors
