Posting Summary
The Center for Health and Wellbeing (CHWB) fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment to support student development and understanding of their own wellbeing journeys.
Provide leadership, oversight, and supervision of student staff in the Center for Health and Wellbeing. Act as primary contact for the Center for Health and Wellbeing between students and clinical staff. Develop and implement engaging programs and initiatives that promote student wellbeing while collaborating with various campus departments. Develop and lead public health initiatives to respond to student needs and manages risk associated with community student health conditions and issues. Supervise student staff, empowering them to take an active role in health initiatives and serve as the primary contact to integrate CHWB into student life. Develop assessment strategies and reports that sustain initiatives through data driven results.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree required. Five years of communications and engagement strategy experience. Student engagement experience in higher ed, inclusive of undergraduate experience (RA, Student Government, etc.). Three years’ experience in supervising students.
Desirable Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field to health and wellbeing (MPH, MSW, Counseling, higher education, etc.)
Anticipated Pay Range
$56,000-62,000
Other Information
This position will require significant night and weekend work, attending health-related student club meetings and other student engagements. However, flexible schedules are offered and encouraged to offset night and weekend work.
The final salary offer will determine if this position is non-exempt or exempt for FLSA purposes.
Special Conditions
Weekend work required, Non-standard work hours required, Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position
