Salary Range 13 $23.64 to $32.40/hour

POSITION SUMMARY: The job of "Testing Coordinator" is done for the purpose/s of providing coordination of State mandated student testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, Experience, Licensure and Certification

Current First Aid Card Required or to be obtained within the district.

Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Knowledge of File Maker, Microsoft Word and Works

Skills to operate standard office equipment, use English in both written and verbal form, use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation

Knowledge of rules and regulations related to assigned school (and specific education processes and procedures)

Ability to exercise good judgment in identifying, handling and protecting confidential information

Ability to sit for prolonged periods

Ability to work independently, understand and carry out oral and written instructions

Ability to interact with persons of different age groups and cultural backgrounds

Significant physical abilities include reaching/handling/keyboarding, talking/hearing conversation, near visual acuity/visual accommodation
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
-
Serves as building testing coordinator. Orders, distributes, supervises, and collects all testing materials for required statewide assessments. Arranges for testing of students as mandated by the State required. Responsible for tracking and facilitating testing as needed for students to meet graduation requirements.

Supervision of individual students or whole classrooms of students during testing.

Training of licensed staff in the use of the state testing system.

Thorough knowledge of computer software including the ability to make changes in local programs as needed.

Keeps abreast of ODE requirements and changes
-
Direct contact with teachers, students, administrators, counselors, and parents, and responsibility to update them on issues related to testing

Keeps current with District recommended method of record keeping system which may include typed work samples/essential skills, CRLEs, etc.

Creates and mails correspondence to parents regarding their student’s progress toward completion of State requirements

Composes reports for administrators and other school staff regarding current status of individual students and entire classes as requested

Responds to inquiries of staff, the public, parents and students for the purpose of providing accurate information or direction as may be required

Facilitates the transfer of testing records for students who transfer into or out of district
-
Orders necessary supplies and other materials as needed and maintains budgetary accounting for such expenditures according to district procedures

Creates, revises and updates various forms used in documentation
-
Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
-
Prepares written materials (i.e. brochures, newsletters, etc.) for the purpose of conveying information regarding school and/or district activities and procedures

Bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting up to 15-45 pounds may also be required on occasion
