Amsted Rail has an immediate opening for an Assembly Technician II at its operation in Greenville, SC. The Assembly Technician II is responsible for critical manufacturing tasks within one or more product lines, while remaining in compliance with the Company's safety, environmental and personal growth standards. This position will address assembly problems independently and effectively. Responsibilities:
Safety: Demonstrates awareness of safety requirements in assigned work areas and wears appropriate PPE for assigned work.
Quality: Completes raw material inspection and preparation for one or more product lines. Performs this work without oversight.
Production: Completes assembly and disassembly tasks in two or more manufacturing product lines as assigned. Performs this work without oversight.
Verification: Completes testing and final tasks to ensure product conformance for two or more product lines. Performs this work with limited supervision.
Continuous Improvement: Completes work in compliance with established standards, including process conformance and standard cycle time.
Training: Accepts training and coaching from supervision. Able to assist in training new employees in some tasks.
Environment: Participates in environmentally appropriate workplace maintenance habits, including 5S.
Requirements:
At least two years' experience in assembly tasks at Amsted Rail or other FT-USA division
High School Diploma/GED or international equivalent preferred.
General dexterity and proficiency in handling complex assembly task.
Capability to use hand tools safely. Capability to operate power tools safely, as assigned.
Physical performance of tasks as determined by supervisor.
