This position assembles sub-components to create finished products for shipment to customers. Tasks may include part numbering, cleaning, and packaging of products. Pay Hourly pay starts at $17 per hour with benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. Essential Job Functions
Use small air and electric operated tools.
Print identification labels using set computer programs.
Use small punch press machines to label parts.
Follow instructions on work orders to correctly assemble parts.
Read blueprints and full-scale drawings.
Monitor sub-component inventory levels.
Assemble sub-components to create finished products.
Package finished products.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to do basic math, including decimals and percentages.
Must be able to work independently.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must have working knowledge of common materials.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend for the purpose of communicating safety instructions and work directions. Be aware of and observe quality requirements.
Work involves the likelihood of irregularity of work schedule to meet customer demand.
Education and Experience Required
At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
High School diploma or GED is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Continuous mental and visual attention is required.
Requires constant alertness and attention to detail of correct product shipped and the count quantity.
Working in hot, cold, noisy work areas and being exposed to odors, fumes, and dust.
Personal Protective Equipment includes safety glasses, ear plugs, cut-resistant sleeves, and steel-toed boots or shoes.
Ability to stand for 80% to 100% for an 8-10 hour shift.
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds consistently.
