Airport Attendant
Town of East Hampton-Airport Attendant at $49,888.18 annually for a 40-hour work week.
The Airport Director will assign duties to the Airport Attendant that support the maintenance, safety and operation of the East Hampton Town Airport.

The Airport Director will assign duties to the Airport Attendant that support the maintenance, safety and operation of the East Hampton Town Airport.
Responsibilities:
- Log in weather each morning and check propane level
- File and scan weather reports at end of month (METARS file)
- Log in fuel farm data from OMNTEC each morning and update sound’s records in office
- Scan fuel records weekly and monthly for shared drive
- Monitor fuel levels at fuel farm on OMNTEC
- May be responsible for checking and ordering fuel
- May accept aviation fuel deliveries that arrive daily
- Assist contractor when fuel filters are changed
- Record fuel gallons used when calibrating meters
- Record fuel filter change on fuel farm maintenance log
- May inspect and test fuel farm Jet A and AVGAS (100 octane low lead aviation gasoline) equipment (This includes monthly inspections) and log information
- Record fuel farm inspection on daily log
- Maintain fuel farm records file on shared drive
- Must be familiar with vector equipment
- Report outages of vector equipment with vector, Airport Director, and control tower
- May perform airfield, runway, and taxiway inspections and be familiar with the proper use of aviation radios
- Assist with airport maintenance such as replacing runway and taxiway lights, mowing, and use of leaf blower
- Monitor weather and activate rotating beacon when necessary
- Recommend required maintenance to Airport Director and appropriate staff
- Inform Airport Director of any safety issues or accidents
- Send emails regarding questions, policy and/or safety issues, public inquiries, etc., to the Airport Director
- May order required items from Grainger
- Update keys lists if required
- Be familiar with the operation of security cameras. Report INOP security cameras and gates to APLUS technology (email) and inform the Airport Director
- Monitor ramp for safe operation and report any safety violations to the Airport Director and appropriate staff
- Be familiar with what to do in the event of an aircraft accident
- Complete an incident or accident report when necessary
- Responsible for assisting in all aspects of airport operations as set forth in the job description and assigned by the Airport Director
- Responsible for related duties
- Computer literate and knowledgeable about scanning and adding forms and documents, including all inspections, fuel data, weather, vector reports, and maintenance logs, in a shared drive
